In The Cracks/裂缝
Recently, I started to pay attention to gig economy and *ghost work.

I interviewed two friends who have worked as uber eats delivery driver in the United States.
The interviewee said: "At first, I thought that the food delivery driver is a job that interacts with many people every day. However, in fact, the time I spend with people every day does not exceed five minutes. And it is almost impossible for us to meet the same Customer twice."
自从2020年九月看了《人物》推送的《外卖骑手，困在系统里》，我开始关注零工经济，和*幽灵工作。

我采访了两个在美国从事过uber eats外卖员的朋友。他们被剥削的处境远远好于中国的外卖员。但是他们同样面临被幽灵化的问题。
被采访者说：“我最开始以为外卖员是一个每天会和很多人互动的职业，然而事实上我每天和人接触的时间加起来不会超过五分钟。并且我们几乎不可能遇到同一个客户两次。“
于是我真的去测试了我和一个外卖员接触的时间是多少。答案是不足八秒。
Then I really tested how long I spent in contact with a food delivery driver. The answer is less than eight seconds.
《裂缝》是一个VR作品。讨论在这种高度依赖网络和算法的隔离生活里，我们对物理世界的感知发生了怎样的改变。
于是我建立了一个被算法抽象的世界：周围的环境已简化为Google地图；
我的公寓是透明的：我们所有人都受到他人和我们自己的监视；
通过算法将人们抽象为几何形状：如果您在电话上订购披萨，则感觉送货司机看着追踪页面上移动的红点。
在此VR作品中，我以第一人称日记的形式描述了这些感受，并问道“我要如何抽象我自己呢？在什么时候呢？”
In The Cracks is a VR work that expresses how quarantine changed our perception of the physical world. I built a world abstracted by algorithms: the surrounding environment has been simplified to become like a google map; my apartment is transparent: we are all monitored by others and ourselves; people are abstracted into geometric shapes by algorithms: if you order a pizza on your phone, the way you feel the delivery driver is looking at the moving red dot on the tracing page.
In this VR work, I described these feelings in the form of a first-person diary. And ask at the end of the video “When will I be abstracted? into a dot? A cube? Or …“
Covid-19 is the background and motivation of this project.
